Roy Dupuis
Reviews by Billie Doux
Roy Dupuis is like a stealth missile. Yes, I'm aware of what that imagery suggests.
It was the summer of 2005, and I was watching La Femme Nikita for the first time. I wasn't even sure I liked Roy at first; and then halfway through the first season, I realized that I was developing a strong interest in him. Suddenly I was doing obsessive internet searches, reading message boards, and looking for his movies on eBay. Everything I learned about him, particularly his environmental and charity work, made me like him more.
Roy Dupuis prefers to work in his own country, and in his own language. (The nerve of him.) His work, especially his early stuff, can be hard to find, and it's often in French. I have reviewed his movies and television appearances as I acquired them, and posted them here. I'd like to publicly thank M., who was kind enough to loan me a significant portion of her Roy Dupuis collection, and J., who shared many titles with me.
