Alias
Reviews by Billie Doux
Alias (2001-2006) was a clever spy drama with an outstanding cast and subtle sci-fi undertones. Jennifer Garner starred as Sydney Bristow, a kick-ass undercover agent, with Michael Vartan as her CIA handler and love interest. My favorite character was Sydney's father Jack (Victor Garber), a wry, expressionless superagent whose relationship with his daughter was complicated, to say the least.
Alias has often been compared to an earlier series that I also reviewed, La Femme Nikita. In fact, the most-commented-on and linked-to article I've ever written (so far, at least) is entitled Alias vs. La Femme Nikita. I'm still getting letters about it. Who knew.
